Amanda van der Sijs is a fellow on the innovative economy dossier. She studied Nanobiology at TU Delft, graduating on research into bacteriophages, and went on to complete a PhD in Utrecht on quantitative transcription regulation. In those years she was also active in Bèta in Bestuur & Beleid, a foundation working to increase the share of people with a science background in the public sector.
She has since acted on that herself, making the move to institutional entrepreneurship at the Delta Institute. In her spare time she still reads about advances in biology, but at the Delta Institute her subject is the innovative economy.
